Hotel information : This hotel is set above a traditional public house catering for tourists and walkers alike.

The hotel is not recommended as a base for business people, as early morning traffic to the cities can be congested.
Room information : The hotel has 4 double rooms and 2 twin rooms mainly located over the public bar and dining areas, some general noise may be heard but is kept to a minimum. Room 6 has a 4 -poster bed whilst room 4 has a relaxing spa-bath.
Food & beverage : Listed in the Good Beer Guide 2009, the hotel has a Cask Marque award for serving quality cask ales. The authentic real ales are on offer along with lagers, mild, cider and stout. A good wine list is also available, with a fine selection of bottled beers, ciders and soft drinks also on offer.

Breakfast is served from 08:30 to 09:30, Monday to Friday.

Food is served from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00, Monday to Friday; as well as from 12:00 to 21:00 on Saturdays and from 12:00 to 20:00 on Sundays.

The specials board features homemade dishes.
Travel information : The village is just off the A624 between Chapel-en-le-frith and Glossop, 15 minutes drive north of Buxton.

The nearest train stations are at New Mills (3 miles) and Glossop (4 miles).
